Biography: Zhao Cheng R.TCMP, R.Ac, Ph.D

Zhao Cheng is President of Canadian Society of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture (CSCMA), a position he has held since 2006.

He's been an Executive Council member of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) since 2004 and an Executive Committee Member of WFAC (World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies) since 2013.

Zhao graduated from the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, obtaining his B.Sc in 1983 and his M.Sc in 1986. He was a professor and Chief Physician at the University and its teaching hospital.

In 1992, he was invited as a visiting professor by the Hiroshima University School of Medicine. Zhao worked on his Ph.D there from 1993 to 1996, focusing on research in clinical immunology and cancer treatment.

From 1997 to 1999, he did post-doctoral research at the Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer, University of Nebraska Medical Center. He published a number of scientific articles relating to cancer and clinical immunology.

In 1999, he came to Canada and established the TCM Anti-Cancer Centre and Acupuncture Clinic in Toronto.
